Family Worship Center embraces the wealth of wisdom and insight from those who
have traveled a little further down the road of life. (“The silver-haired head is a
crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness.” Proverbs 16:31) We
honor the rich resource of our senior adults who have persevered through
difficulties, trials, and hardships which have enriched their faith.

Worshiping together is an important part of our church family. For senior adults, Family Worship Center provides a once a month worship service and brunch, which features singing of the old hymns of faith, testimonies, prayer, and fellowship. This service is at 10:00 a.m. on the last Thursday of the month. Following the service, a team provides a delicious complimentary brunch with fruits, breads, and desserts.

Connecting together is vital to our growth as a “life-long follower of Jesus Christ.” In 1997, a dedicated group of women started a monthly complimentary luncheon for our senior adults. Through the years, this luncheon has provided a delicious hot “home-made” meal for our seniors with a place to connect in friendship and love. The luncheon is on the second Wednesday of the month at 12 noon.
Another way that we connect and grow in our faith as a “life-long follower of Jesus Christ” is through group Bible study. Each Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m., the senior adults come together in a Life Group Bible Study to study God’s Word. It is a time to share testimonies, prayer requests, insights into God’s Word while growing in faith and friendship.

Senior adults have many opportunities to give back to their church and community. Ministry opportunities are available in any area of the Senior Ministries. Participation is encouraged according to the senior adult’s gifting and ability. Within the Prime Timer’s (Senior’s) ministry, the monthly luncheon, worship service, & brunch each provide opportunities for baking, cooking, set-up, singing, vacuuming, etc.
All Family Worship Center senior adults are welcomed and encouraged to participate in hospitality, greeter, children, student, men, or women’s ministry. We do not believe that age is a factor in serving God! As Joshua said, “Give me this mountain.”
Family Worship Center believes in the biblical admonition to care for the “fatherless and the widows”. As part of the benevolence ministry, we have a “Widows Ministry” that does security checks on our widow’s homes, helps with maintenance of their cars, and helps with minor repairs around their homes.
